Smile Rosette

I believe we are going to skip the inner and outer abalone rings.

John did killer tight dark light dark purfling around the ab Celtic knot last time. Let’s see if I can get a pic up….

Thanks nemoman! I am sure having fun with my three remaining JKs! Four will be even better!

Since I am still gigging some I need a spare for my spare…. 😛 hahaha

Cheers

Paul

Looks gorgeous Paul! And the tone that John gets out of these guitars he builds is special. Looking forward to seeing this one progress!!!

I really like the way the rosette turned out Paul and that myrtle set is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more.

Teaser of the rosette being squashed! Back strip inlaid. Braz and fiddleback mahogany.

More soon according to JK

Happy Saturday night to all.

Unamplified Road house gig for me on top of Mt. Laguna. Log cabin in the pines at 6K ft altitude, about 60 miles east of San Diego. John’s Big Guns get the job done!

Playing for the new owners at a place I have played a LOT over the years. First gig there since Covid! Woohoo.

Cheers

Paul

The rosette has been freed, and got a little shave…

And, the Pine House Roadhouse gig went GREAT. New owners are very cool. Cindy got a couple decent phone videos which we are trying to get to YouTube…

John has scored this nice Visesnut case, which he says will fit great!
It has the padded case cover, too! Woohoo.
Thanks John

Love the case, so light and tough. Love em. Love that rosette and that tiny little hand plane. How cute is that.

I love those latches on the Visesnut case. Very easy, very secure. Little risk of your most prized possession falling out. I always upgrade to that one, as opposed to the entry level Visesnut, if I can.

Well happily that’s exactly what I ordered for your case.
