Hey Paul,

I do not think you need so many guitars. I am always available if you have no place to 'house' all these guitars!!!!!

Rainbow, someday I hope to be able to let you know what the fee would be to store one of these permanently.

Right now - we're just learning a LOT.

This is totally new to me - but I bet not unique at all. I find myself thinking of designs for guitars I plan to build down the road.

As mentioned, my next guitar (#5) will most likely be the same shape as #3 - but I'm going more for a theme guitar.

I'm planning on bloodwood bindings that I've already purchased from StewMac - and am thinking of taking the Aramaic text from the tattoo that Kyle and I share and putting it on the fretboard. Why? Because the text says "Blood of My Blood" - and that would be a fun tie-in with bloodwood binding and other bloodwood accents.

Here's a rough layout of the text on the 12th fret of our neck design. Sorry it is just white text - but I plan on it being either abalone or bloodwood. The graphic is placed on a photo of my neck from guitar #1.

Here's a little closer view

so the headstock logo on your other builds is a symbol for "blood of my blood"? wow cool!!!

maybe your next tattoo should be "flesh of my flesh"!!!

Actually no.... the logo is a design that my son and I came up with for a tattoo we each got last April.

The design combines a bunch of letters from our names - and a cross - and then we added the aramaic text which DOES mean "Blood of my blood".

We liked the design of the logo so much that we decided to use it on our guitars - but the aramaic text was too small at that size to use.

Well - this thread was left hanging last fall - and I'm here to celebrate the fact that guitar #003 was strung up tonight.

It was a long process where many new skills were learned - but we are very pleased with the initial results.

A GREAT finish job was done last month by Joe White, and it was a very special moment to get to play the finished tonight with my son. We've still got a little tweaking to do to the setup and need to dress the frets - then we'll see where we stand.

Thanks for all of you who waited us out on the build.

Believe it or not - #004 is well on the way and #005 is being started. We're hooked!

Enjoy the photos! (more to come when I have more time)
