It's a guitar neck for practicing on the go. This classical version has a fingerpicking route at the last fret. I don't play classical guitar but I do play acoustic and have been getting into finger picking lately. I wanted to pick one of these up to do some picking patterns on the go.

I was wondering if anyone used this and how the fingerpicking section worked. Looks like it might be a bit small and crowded for finger picking practice. Plus, I'm wondering if it has the wider classical string spacing instead of the "standard" guitar spacing of most acoustics.

Just in case anyone's interested. I Just called to ask about the string spacing. It's classical string spacing. The guy doesn't know for sure if it could be strung with steel strings.

Hmmmm....looks like about a four inch space between the nut and the first fret? As the old saying goes, "what you know is in your left hand, who you are is in your right...."

I think you play that upside down, i.e. with the headstock on the picking hand side.

Either way, it's a horrible idea for any sort of serious practice. All your physical references would be out of whack, and, try as you might, that's simply NOT practicing. You're better off visualizing a guitar and playing music in your head—I'm serious.

I would just buy a cheap kick around and practice with that.
