Default Young Photos of Famous Electric Guitarists

Steve D posted a great thread with a pic of a famous bass player before he was famous. Made me think about guitarists.

What are some pics of famous guitarists when they were early in their career, a pic that many people would not recognize.

Here's one of a legend back in the late 60s back when he used to play Gibsons. This is the famous "The Fool" guitar.

Well then there's Gibson identified artists that played another plank in their younger days:

Great pic! I immediately thought of two people and one was correct (I won't give it away). The other guy I thought of was Charlie Christian

What a great pic! I wasn't sure who he was so I googled him and found him. I've heard the name before but don't know who he is.

I actually thought it was this guy, from the '80s. Can you tell them apart?

The funny part is that I wouldn't say my guy is usually thought of as good-looking. Most pictures of him as a young guy make him look kind of nerdy and awkward, like somebody's kid brother tagging along with the cool kids in the band (the one below is quintessential in this regard). But in the photo I posted above he looks downright...pretty.

What a fantastic pic! The guitar Jimmie is playing (on the left) reminds me of the Framus "made in Bavaria" guitar I first learned on.

On the set of Lost In Space.

Backstage with Duane at the Whiskey A-Go-Go.

It turns out that June Lockhart was a rock and roll mega-fan. She paid The Hourglass to play a party at her home. Tthe top pic shows their visit to the set of her show. In return, when the Allman Brothers made it, they invited the cast backstage at the Whiskey.

We went to the same high school, and I would often see him sitting in the cafeteria before homeroom. Who would have suspected the musical genius that lurked within the mind of Todd Rundgren???
