Mixer replacement
Got a new Yamaha MG12 to replace my 10-year-old Mackie ProFX12, which was down to one working output (right side made noise when pushed, monitor out had a clicking noise).
Wow, what a difference in tone and volume. Tone-wise, it seems very bright in comparison, guessing the old Mackie was losing some of its high end ability?

Without the evidence in front of me, I've been in a higher level Mackie mixer attempting repairs. Early RoHS victims. I would trust Yamaha at an equivalent price point. In other words, I was disappointed in the Mackie's build quality. Ymmv

As owner of an MG82cx, MG10XU, MG10XUf, MG16XU and MGP16X, I can assure none of them has ever let me down in a live sound scenario.
