And if you know anything about SoCal traffic, you know that someone has to be a good person to hang around with if you are contemplating getting on one of our freeways for an hour or so, each direction. I'm just glad he isn't open Sundays (the easier of the weekend days for traffic) otherwise I'd just camp out there on that day basically every weekend.
++++++1 on this.

Or is it just +2?

Either way, I agree. Best guitar shop experience I've ever had was at Organic Sounds with Larry.

I second Northern Lights Music. Great store! Excellent service and fair prices.

Mass Street Music in Lawrence, Kansas. Closer to me here in the Anchorage, Alaska area is Mammoth Music in downtown Anchorage.

Mass Street Music in the Midwest, does have a big variety, of some really nice guitars.

If you're after Martin. Check Maury's Music, in Coaldale PA. Got allot in stock. Show room not open due to the way of the world today.

Found my HD-28 with them when everybody else was backordered.

My personal recommendation would be to stay away from ‘Stay Gold’

Thanks to all for you responses! Great to know that there are still quite a few quality brick and mortar guitar shops out there!

Cheers!

Mighty Fine Guitars in Lafayette California.

Regarding Organic Sounds, Larry has a Ken Franklin of Cedar and EIR that is tempting me.

+1. Shawn at staygoldguitars.com is a great person to work with, and is very knowledgeable about guitars. I bought a Huss & Dalton from him.

Sorry to hear that. It's pretty much a 1-man shop. Maybe he's away. I bought a Huss & Dalton from Shawn, as mentioned above. Really good guy. He made a few videos and sent them to me to compare a couple guitars he had. Very responsive. I visited him about a month later. Again, a really good guy. Have you tried emailing Stay Gold directly?
