Default if I Needed Someone - Fingerstyle

Watching Get Back inspired me to finish up and record my arrangement of George Harrison's song. This one wasn't in the movie, of course, but I appreciated George's contributions thruout.

This is using my Claxton EM:

I really enjoyed this, perhaps because it happens to be one of my Beatles faves. Nice job!

Thanks, I always liked this one as well. One thing I came away from watching Get Back with was a reinforced feeling that George really didn't get the credit he deserved for his songs. He wrote some really good ones!

Indeed, as evidenced on the "All Things Must Pass" album. On the other hand, George did pretty good. Think how far you or I would get trying to get a song in edge-wise, amidst the "Lennon-McCartney" jaugernaught! I'm sure there were times George was dismissed before he even got his hand up!

So smooth…you make it look easy…then I try it…somehow it doesn’t sound anywhere close. Great tone from your guitar and great playing. Beautiful. Thanks.

My wife and I watched this one together and she looks over at me and says “Why don’t your hands glide over the neck effortlessly like Doug’s?”

I love this arrangement. Good one Doug!

Really nice..so smooth!

Agree with George not getting enough credit... in a Sirius XM Beatles top 100:

Excellent job. Great song by one of the most under-rated song writers of all time.
