I play Celtic on three of my guitars, the Avalon, the Guild D-120 and the Larrivee OM-05. Stephen Wake plays a few of his tunes on a Larrivee OM-02.
All woods are not created equal. Just because a guitar is made with the same tone woods, doesn't mean it will sound the same as one from another builder.

I understand.
I found an older Avalon AS 201 guitar, for 580$ including shipping. It is to far for me to go and try it. But seems like a nice guitar.
