Default Anyone else hooked on WORDLE?

Love this silly game. Keeps the ole brain goin for a few minutes every morning and best of all, you can only play it once a day so no chance of wasting more than a few minutes anyway.

So what is WORDLE?
Wordle is a free game where you have six tries to guess a five-letter word through deduction. There is one word every day, which is the same for everyone. The new puzzle is released every day at midnight. Each time you guess a word, the letters will turn green, yellow or grey to indicate if it is in the correct spot. Green means the letter is in the right position, yellow means the letter appears somewhere in the word but not in the current position, and grey means the letter isn’t in the word at all.

Find it here and have fun!

I enjoyed that. Got the word on try #4.
I won't ruin it for others by telling you today's word.

I've only been playing for about a week. It reminds me of the old Mastermind board game.
I've gotten the word by the 3rd guess 5 of 8 times so far - haven't been skunked (yet).

YES!!! My wife turned me on to it about a week ago. I'm a NYT crossword & Spelling Bee guy, so I immediately fell in love.

This thread and a text from my wife got me going. Attempt #1.

Wordle 219 4/6

⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜
⬜⬜

I guess the copy and paste doesn't really work.

I’m happy to take advantage of any opportunity to exercise the little grey cells.

Wordle works nicely while I’m finishing my second cup of coffee after breakfast each morning.

Tried my first today. My wife showed it to me yesterday. Got it done but it was tough for me...word games are not my best skill set...

It's probably using unicode characters for the yellow & green squares that aren't available in vBulletin. At least this means this thread won't be full of those little grids like my FB feed.

I enjoy it. Haven't missed a word yet, and got lucky enough to get one day's puzzle in 2!

If you enjoy the fact that it's only one per day so it's not a big time sink, absolutely do not try Absurdle.

I started playing it a couple of days ago with my kids (share button). Fun!

Never heard of it before, have to give it a try.
I play one game each every morning, Othello, Sudoku and Freecell.
Mostly for those unused brain cells.

Just started. First couple of days were easy, today was tough, it took all 6 tries. Sure beats playing scrabble!
