Pickup for Beard Resonator

I just bought a Beard Goldtone Roundneck and am thinking it would be nice to get a pickup in it.

I am curious about how close the amplified sound is to the sound from the cone.

Also...which pickup has given you a good result? Where did you outlet the jack. Mine has a wood body, but the endpiece area is metal.
