Yes, it was tabbed out in Acoustic Guitar magazine a few months ago. I thought I was doing okay with it until I played the record and heard how fast Buckingham plays it. I'm still working on it but it's not easy for me to play it cleanly at that tempo!

Cool Spooky!

Hey, funny y'all should mention this.......last night I finally had my breakthrough on that tune. had been wanting to get it down for years! Not quite the way I want it yet, but definitely close. Ya gotta love little moments like that. It's weird, because last night was one of those times when I was just too pooped after a long workday to play, but dragged myself over there and got started, and things began to happen big-time! Picked up a few new blues licks as well. Go figure.

Talking Tab?

GREAT song, is that tab from acoustic magazine available online? I know I could probably find a few different versions somewhere. Is that a complete version? I hate to spend as much time as it is going to take me to learn it and find a better tab later.

I just purchased an 814bce and it is being shipped today. Should have it by Monday. I can't wait to play my fingers raw... need a new song to learn.

Default Never going back again

What song are you talking about? Is this (Never Going Back Again) the song? Have you posted the tab somewhere? Recently I got the "The Dance" DVD, which I play on my computer. It's helped me to work out Lindsey's killer version of Big Love. Take care

Default Never Going Back tab

I'm in the middle of preparing three tabs of this song for OLGA: the original (dropped D tuning), a version in C wahine tuning (same notes, easier to play) and the live version (completely different). In the meantime, I have scans of the Acoustic Guitar tab if anyone wants to email me.

Currently playing a Big Baby 307-GB in the South of France,

Hey TOH, I love the south of France. I spent a month a couple of summers ago in Ste. Maxime in a villa overlooking the gulf of Ste. Tropez. The year before I rented in Ste. Raphael. Provence is beautiful; I can't wait to get back there!

This really is a great song. I, too, am struggling to get up to Buckingham's speed. One method I am using that has been very helpful is to use a 2-speed tape recorder, one of those handheld dictation types from OfficeMax. There are lots of computer programs that can do the same thing though.

My next trick will be to play it with a 12-string. I've played around with it but have not mastered finger picking string pairs yet. Anyone else tried this?

Default Getting up to speed

I use a slow-down program called Transcribe for tabbing and learning tricky songs like this one.

I learned this song, but I never play it. I just don't want to be bothered with the tunning change and the capo. Am I lazy or what? Cool tune.

I love this song. It is one that I don't play regularly. I need to keep it practised up. I think about it occasionally and have to relearn it.

Cool Cool tune.

I'm still fiddlin' and diddlin' with getting this just the way I want it. I play it in standard tuning.......heck, I play everything in standard tuning, for that matter. Anyway, I don't worry about how well Buckingham plays it, or playing it EXACTLY like him. I just play things the best way that I can.......
