software to print music?
Does music scan properly? I have trouble seeing the tabs and tiny little notes in the magazines. What would be necessary to enlarge it onto my computer?

You don't really need a music program like Finale unless you want to be able to edit the music you are scanning in. You could get away with just scanning in the music at a large DPI setting and opening it in an image-editing program.
If you want to edit the music, Sibelius and Finale are considered to be the two best programs available, but they are expensive, and Sibelius requires the purchase of a plug-in (around $100 I believe) to scan music into the software. |

How do you adjust the DPI setting?

Scanning
When you start the scanning process it should give you an option to change your settings. In those settings there should be a pull down menu (depending on your scanner/software) and you will be able to increase your DPI. Try different numbers until you get what is comfortable for you.
If you are trying to increase the size from your browser just go into view menu and adjust text size. Hope that helps
