Sitting in a hotel room, playing my new x7
What a great little guitar! Came in yesterday and I hit the road today. PO had strung it with elixir extra lights and I think it needs mediums. B AND e strings need a bit more umph. Action needs to come down a bit, but the neck and string spacing are awesome! Pics when I get home

"If you can't be with the one you love......love the one you're with".
I'm guessing since you mention a previous owner (PO) this is the original style X7, not one of the newly modified ones? With a short 24" scale, mediums would yield roughly the same playing tension as lights on a 25.5" scale length. |
