Actually last week. Waited for stand for pics. My first mandolin - MT2 w/torrefied top.

Congrats K20C! Collings mandolins are so beautiful and satisfying to play. I love the balance of the A style. Thats a beauty!

The perfect beginner mandolin. Wonder how many more people would be playing mandolin had they not started on a $200 instrument. That MT2 is a ways up the food chain. Congratulations on a fine start.

It sounds as good as it looks, too. Well, in the hands of the guy at the music store it does. Me, not so much. lol It’s like learning guitar all over, again.

I have scroll addiction, and I've played enough that now a $7500 mandolin would not completely do it for me. $7500 used would. Both good and bad. Good is I'll never buy one. Bad is I'll never buy one.
