Meant to write LG2 and like bodied guitar options
I recently picked up a Farida OT-22W and really like the size and shorter scale. I have been looking for something similar in a better, solid wood build. I have come across the following three options. I would appreciate any comments people may have. All of the these options are somewhere around $3-3.5K.
#1 Iris guitar model OG in 1.75”. #2 Used “good” condition Flammang LG35 #3 Used like new Gibson LG2 Banner re-issue. The most expensive of the 3. I own an Iris DF and would have no problem ordering the OG even with a 9-12 month wait. I can try the Flammang if it is still available once I have a chance to take a day to drive to the dealer. The Gibson LG2 banner I haven’t been able to find in stock anywhere. There is one currently in the AGF classifieds. I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t last. Thanks and I appreciate any input you can provide. Last edited by tomcstokes59; 10-18-2021 at 04:27 PM. |

For me, if a Flammang that is similar to what you are looking for comes available, I would do that. Just love the sound and feel of every one of his guitars I have had the opportunity to play. The 2 I have are not going to be available. I am sure the other 2 on your list are good but to me, there is something pretty magical about Flammang guitars.

I saw this in the classifieds today:

I've heard good things about Iris guitars but I would be willing to bet the Flammang is on a different level than the Iris or the Gibson.
I've owned very good Gibsons but my Flammang GC is something special. |

They are hard to come by on this side of the pond, but I would put my Atkin The 47 up against any of them.

That Atkin 47 looks wonderful!
Another option could be the new Gibson 50s LG2. Less expensive than the banner re-issue. https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/ACCDYV...ntage-Sunburst
