We're making out wonderfully, and sadly, yes, I have had to put her down. Some thing called work keeps pulling me away, otherwise I'd be playing it 24/7!

Strings today, eh? This is going to be exciting!!!

So pretty!! Not much more to add to what everyone else has said. Anticipating music that matches the beauty of the guitar!

Well I just heard the first concert about ten minutes ago. I've heard a fair number of brand new guitars, this one sounds like he already hit puberty. The basses are unbelievable (except I was here so I can barely believe it). A rich full tone across the range. I'll be the first to admit that I think plenty of woods sound about as good as Brazilian. This is making me question that assumption. I'm halfway hoping this check bounces...well maybe not quite, but playing this one from time to time will probably add years to your life Tom. Maybe we can plan for summer visits.

What a stunner! I'm dying to see the full glory shots of the finished guitar and hearing some clips!

I used to own an FS and have been a fan of the Kinnairds since. I'm hoping to add an SJ to my little collection someday too.

Ok well that review got my heart racing. There is a chance the check will bounce I suppose, but since I know you have a lovely family, I would advise you not to hold your breath!!! That sounds just what I asked for back in November when I first ordered this guitar! Big bass, lots of sustain, full sound, orchestral if you please!!!!

Thanks Ryan, I will be waiting anxiously to hear some clips.

Tom

I would strongly encourage you to contact them and get started on your journey...the boys are toying with me here a little, but the first reports on sound are pretty danged good. Steve is being coy, but he seems to be very pleased with this brand new box with strings....

OK friends, here are a couple of pics of the guitar WITH STRINGS, resting and figuring out it is a guitar as Steve said to me!!!

And headstock, the truss rod cover is still missing in action and Steve says the nut (bone btw) is not in its final shape yet, but here it is, I really like how Steve used different colors on the headstock inlay so that the K stands out a little and the small S and T are in a different shade...

I said yesterday that I was calm, today hearing Ryan's review I am pretty danged excited...

Totally understandable, Tom--sounds like it's going to be killer!

When will she be landing in your neck of the woods?

Well, I've slobbered over this for some time, and just when I think I'm all out of slobber, you post a picture or two and a review. So...as Tweety Bird might say "...here I doe u-den" lol.

I DO also love the bridge design. Truly inspiring and elegant.

Not really sure quite yet, Steve is planning on having a photo shoot before sending it out as well as doing some recording for me. We also have to figure out which way is best to ship it here to get it here as fast as possible with as little chance of damage as possible...Probably will let it sit for a few days and make any adjustments in set-up???? soooo, maybe 2 weeks???? I am just guessing here. We have not really talked about it yet. I also have a business trip coming up so I will have to wait until back from that...arrrrggghhh when is someone going to invent teleportation?????? Jeez!!!!!!!

Timing,

Steve and I have emailed. He is going to keep her one more week to get some photos and do some recordings. This will also give it a week to adjust to tension and any minor adjustments can be made before I receive it. To me, another week to have it dialed in as much as possible before I get it is worth it...so it looks like it will be shipped (OMG, hope nothing happens), the week of the 25th.

There will of course be a review!!!!
