While I enjoyed Catfish snapping away at those strings and singing a fun ditty, am I to assume the guitar cannot produce a sweet tone?

I am generally frustrated by demos that show only one style/aspect of playing. Use your fingers, use a pick, play loud and then play soft - make an actual attempt to show me what the guitar can do (unless you believe it's a one trick pony).

You really have to expect a fun song from someone named Catfish.

The demo would discourage me from considering the guitar.

Not to take anything away from the player but not one that would make me want to buy the guitar. Way too much twang and not enough finesse.

Tough crowd! I agree it's pretty one dimensional and not for everyone's style, however, it kept me entertained.

Umm...yeah...not real impressed with that demo either.

I want to hear the guitar...not the player singing,

Not the player showing off all of their tricky licks that they can play...not very well

Not the player showing off how fast they can play...not very well

Not the player playing jazz or complex fingerstyle stuff way up the neck on a D-18 or D-28 style guitar

Not the player playing bluegrass or delta blues on a guitar made for complex fingerstyle

Not the player playing in odd tunings that 99% of us are never gonna use

Just play the guitar good and clean and slow and smooth and basic in standard tuning or Drop D tuning so we get a good listen to how the guitar really sounds

If you want to hear soundclips done well, done right, go listen to the ones on Guitar Gallery's website.

Done well...done right...nuff said

Maybe thats what the guitar does best. I dont play that style so not for me but for some folks that might just be "the one".

Shoot, don't like jumping on the bandwagon, but I did not appreciate his "attack" on that beautiful guitar.

Don't feel too bad! I think I once put a Mountain Goats video up on here and it was pure crickets.

Different strokes, bro!

Hahah! No offense taken.

I saw a brash (ok, a bit sloppy--but so am I) display of pure enthusiasm and fun. To me, that's a good demo!
