Default Game Of Thrones last season

No GOT discussion? Really? Let’s try and keep it spoiler-free.

It’s been two years since the season finale of season 7, and what a season that was! Season 8 started great IMO, some found it slow, but a lot did happen, and I’m satisfied so far.

Any GOT fans here? Or is the forum part of the 1% that has never watched Game Of Thrones?

I just watched the episode. But...I don't think it's possible to discuss this show without spoilers! I can say that I think some momentum was lost in the 2 year interval between seasons, but I'm sure it will pick up. Season 7 was everything I wanted it to be and more!

Yeah season 7 was my favorite season by far. No episode will ever top the loot train! I don’t think it’s lost momentum, considering the current craze for this season premiere. It sure was a dialogue-heavy episode, but I can already see the tension rising, and so much was dropped. A lot happened and nothing happened at the same time.

Well, the dialogue was needed to get us caught up, because you're right, a lot did happen.

Agree it was an excellent first episode which held my attention all the way to the end. Roll on the next episode!

Best show on television IMO, and contender for best of all time. Huge fan. My wife and I enjoyed the first episode quite a bit.

Only 6 total episodes this year. Fireworks are bound to start very quickly.

Yes, lots of catching up, and setting up for the next episodes. I really enjoyed the last season as the individual story lines and characters came back together. There’s been so much development and evolution over the years, and the survivors are such a diverse and interesting bunch.

Bran certainly has the stone-cold stare for the ages.

Would you guys believe I have not watched one episode? Looks like I have some binge watching to do.

We don't have HBO so we haven't watched it either. I take that back, we borrowed a DVD and watched the first episode but couldn't get in the swing of it.

Maybe down the road we'll get to watch it, folks seem to love it!

I remember watching the first two episodes or so and then not watching for months. It just didn’t click at first, so many storylines it was confusing. Then I gave it another go and it all came together. The show was already in its fourth season when I started to watch. A friend of mine had all the previous seasons loaded in a usb stick, and me and the wife binge-watched it.

I think this show easily dethrones The Sopranos as the greatest TV show ever made.
