Learn a few pieces in that tuning and/or compose your own music in that tuning.

I’ve often asked the same question. After years, I’ve come to the conclusion that one of the beauties of alternate tunings is the feeling that you are a little lost. It forces you out of the cliches and licks and into something new. Once you know too much in an open tuning you can lose that advantage. There are plenty of well worn licks in most tunings, and you can find them on a variety of YouTube tutorials. Before you do, spend a little more time “wandering around in the dark”. You never know what you might find.
