Which Emerald guitar is in this video
I like the green color quite well, seems to have a very nice tone-size looks good overall.
Anyone know which model this one is? thanks d and here is the breakdown for that song-in case you want to know and can speak/read Korean |

I believe it is an X7.
The lady playing the guitar is tiny which throws off the scale. On the X20 the soundhole does not extend to the fretboard. The X5 has a different (more abbreviated) headstock.

Interesting, although it sounds like a 7 it looks more like a 20 in her lap. The player must be tiny.

Yes! The x7 body is very small...nearly CA Cargo sized.

Actually the X7 might be even smaller than the Cargo. The 7, the Cargo, and the Kevin Michael are all 3/4 size guitars built for travel.

thanks Sean, for the other pics, I love the green!
I have to admit, I'm becoming smitten with the X7. I like the size, love the shape, need to research more on the pickup(whether I really want one or not as I am 99% an acoustic type person, but it might be neat to have-and I need to see if I might rather want a K&K rather than the barndoor BBand.) thanks to all who replied d **email headed your way Sean |

I've been keeping myself busy with comparing the specs on the X7 with actual measurements on my GSmini. Overall, it sounds like the X7 is about 3" shorter than the Mini, but a slightly longer scale (24" vs 23.5"). Looking at the images of the X7, I think some of that difference is the smaller headstock; body measurements seem close. I like the size and feel of the Mini. With the bevel armrest on the X7, I think the ergonomics will be good for my use.
We'll see. |

I saw your response on my "Incoming" thread. I get the whole green/Emerald thing. I was really drawn to the cocobolo veneer, but the 4 month time 'till completion didn't work for our summer/fall plans. My first thought on seeing the guitar was: oh, this is smaller than I thought. It doesn't feel small (at least, not in a bad way) when you are holding/playing it. To my ear, it has a balanced sound; more bass than I expected. I can compare it to the GSmini (close in size) or my RainSong Shorty (carbon fiber), but it is its own instrument. I get the attraction of a smaller guitar. The neck is also different from my other guitars. Not a big deal for acclimating, but I have nothing else that feels the same as this. The guitar is beautifully finished. I originally thought I'd prefer an over-all gloss, but I like the "Crystal Ice" on the sides and back, gloss on the top, of the Opus Series. Hope that helps. I also get that it is a giant leap of faith to buy a guitar when you haven't seen anything from the manufacturer in person. Getting perceptions from others here made a difference for me. I guess I tend to be somewhat traditional - this doesn't look anything like any of my other guitars. But, I do appreciate the styling. And the soft curves. Jim |
