Much better! I went back and listened to it with drums, and then without! I suddenly dawned on me that there is no bass. It is recommended not to apply drums without a bass; in an intro, transition or ending, it is okay to have drums without a bass, but not for the body of a song. So, for me, the acoustics without the drums really shine, and I agree with Bill that it flows much better.

Wow, listened three times, really loved it. Great groove, nice feeling. IS it perfect, I don't care.

After listeneing to the one without drums I had to back to the original to even pick them out. Liked the one without better, had a less muddy sound. Yeah, I'd redo the lectric guitar part, or even eliminate it..

Was the shaker done by hand? I've tried recording an entire song with one of those, it's near impossible to stay on beat. I have found recording drums (I use a machine) first then recording everything else afterwards works best, forces me to stay on timing. But, had Bill not mentioned it, I would not have noticed.

Again, loved it, I downloaded it.

Default Thanks for the re-listen...

Yes the shaker was done by hand. I basically held it on my knee while I tapped out the rhthym. Thanks for the tips folks....I have such little time to record (and I am quite an amateur) but love putting down tracks!

Again...thanks,

Paul
