I sit in a chair while practicing and only need to use my feet for the wah-wah and volume pedals, Everything else could be raised up...I've never seen a setup like what i'm talking about, but it sure would be much more accessible than what I have now with all the pedals on the floor. This is for practicing only, not for gigging...so I really don't care what it looks like. Ever see something like I'm talking about ??

Check out what this guys does, I believe that's speaker stand modified to hold his pedalboard.

I just ordered one of these Holey Boards which uses tie wraps to hold the pedals to the board instead of velcro....the layout looks like what I had in mind. I still may want to raise it up though...here's some more info on it...

https://reverb.com/item/312408-holey...-deck-2-levels

What do you guys think ?? I like the design so well I ordered it right away and now am planning on what stain or paint to use on it...I believe it comes with bare wood, which is fine with me. It seems to be just the right size for all my pedals !!!! They make different sizes, but this one should be enough for me.

Well after looking at lots of colors and stain samples, I've decided to stain the Holeyboard with a rosewood stain from Sherwin Williams, then give it a coat of a hi gloss varnish...this should match my D-35 very nicely...

Thanks !! I think the Holeyboard will look awesome when it's done. It'll be sitting in my living room and I want it to look as nice as possible !!

When I worked in my old job as a professional wireman, we used to use cable tie wraps all the time. I know how strong they are. We used them to make our wiring harnesses look neat and professional. I think this is a great idea to use cable ties instead of velcro. In my experience, velcro has always been a pain in the neck for me. Cable ties are a much better solution.

I had my stain custom mixed for me this morning...Rosewood it is !!

Awesome...my pedal board has shipped and tracking say that it will be here Thursday. I have a reverb unit coming, some patch cables, I bought some other patch cables today, I already have the stain and varnish...so it should all be coming together over the weekend and next week....I have a swivel stool that I can set it on so that I can easily reach the knobs without bending over....awesome !!!

I bought a Tie Wrap Gun at harbor freight that pulls the tie wraps tight and clips them off in one pull of the trigger. I used to use one of these years ago when I was a wireman.. very handy, I'm happy to have one again...the pedal board is scheduled for delivery today about 1-3 PM. Here's a link to the Tie Wrap Gun...

Okay I got the gloss coats on. The stain really got a dark brown as it dried
The assembly was a bit tricky but I figured it out...I've got the rubber feet on too...now I'm gonna just let it sit and let the finish harden up overnight...I should be able to start assembling the pedals and do the wiring tomorrow, so I'm ahead of schedule !!
