My Bourgeois Aged Tone Vintage D Banjo Killer! Beautiful, loud, killer tone, easy to play, projects well. You get the point!

I have only two, so for me it is whichever one is in my hands at the time....but, my H&D is a joy to play. So easy with such beautiful tone. Way above my play grade. The H&D is making me a better player.

Subject to change... right now, probably my Hatcher. It is beautiful, loud enough, plays exceptionally well and sounds sweet. However I am playing one now (that does not belong to me) that could push it out. On the other hand, no one guitar will do everything I want. It's not possible. But the Hatcher rings a lot of the right bells.

What is your FAVORITE acoustic guitar that you own, and why?
Count me among those “which ever one is in my lap“ guys for the most part. Both of my guitars are just that sweet. But if you push me, I’d probable have to say my 2017 Collings D1A Traditional is my favorite.

It’s my cheapest but it’s the go to guitar for me. The Martin Dreadnought Junior is fun to play and has great projection with deep bass. This is the original Junior I’m talking about.

My Martin GPCPA4.
Yeah, I know it's pretty basic, but I have 6 guitars and this one gets 95% of the play time. It's a great all-rounder--it's great for both strumming and fingerpicking. I love the sound it produces and it's comfortable in my lap. I feel no need to play anything else. |

Since i downsized and in order to focus more on playing it’s easier than before.
I would say my Collings OM2H. But tomorrow i could say it’s my old D28 again.

My favorite is my 2017 Taylor 814ce DLX. Beautiful sound, feels and looks fantastic. Its my favorite, but that doesn't mean its the one I play most. That honor goes to my Taylor Mini Rosewood because I keep it out on a stand in the mancave where its handy.

Many guitars have come and gone in the past 20 years, but this one I always kept close.
It's an '81 Guild D-46, and there's nothing it doesn't do well. It was my lucky day when I found it. 20210111_090338.jpg20210111_090828.jpg

I only have four and one of those is a redundant backup to the gigging guitar. I love them all and they all do different things well. Until a few weeks ago I would have said my favorite was my all-mahogany Martin D-1 Custom 12 fret dread that arrived unexpectedly a few days before Christmas 2019. But then this past Christmas (notice the trend?) I received what has always been my 'dream/retirement/someday' guitar, a Froggy Bottom H-12 Deluxe in sunburst Adi over EIR unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. Needless to say, it's become my favorite. Why? Light build, LOUD and resonant, outstanding build quality and of course it's just gorgeous. Honorable mention goes to the Cole Clark Angel 2 which is my gigging guitar and the Cole Clark Little Lady 2 which is my travel/backup gigging guitar. And since we all love photos, here's the Frog AND the Martin in their Christmas morning photo shoots:
