Composite Acoustics serial number help.
Trying to figure out the year of my OX. It has sealed tuners, not sure what year they changed. Serial number starts with 003.
Can any CA owners share how to decipher the year from the serial number!

Is it pre or post peavey?
pre peavey is model, finish, year, julian date and number made on the day. Eg my gx has a serial of gx109245-3, which translates to GX, high gloss, 2009, day 245 (september 2), third produced. I dont know how the post peavey serial numbers work.

Providing the serial number would help. CA has used multiple schemes through the years.

GX Serial Number
Would like to tag onto this older thread. There is a GX I am looking at with a serial number RP661218071R. The pattern doesn't seem to fit any of the 'keys' that I have been able to find and CA tells me they don't have records for this one....suggests it is pre-Peavey.
Anyone provide any guidance?

I have tried contacting CA about a used Ox I just bought and they never replied. I was just asking about some basic info pertaining to the serial number. I called twice and got their answering service which referred me to their customer service on the internet. Each time I left a message there and still have not heard a thing in weeks. Pretty piss poor service if you ask me
