Default Pickup for Yamaha 12 String

Hi. I Have a Yamaha 12 string I purchased in the early 70s, with no electronics. Looking for suggestions on a brand /type to install that would be a good match for this. Thanks
Charles

I've had good results with JJB electronics Prestige 330 pickups (similar to K&K pwm) for both my 6 and 12 string guitars.

I like them because:
1) inexpensive
2) sound great
3) no batteries
4) easy to install

Especially for a 12 string. I personally don't like magnetic pickups for 12 strings because the octaves a way louder than the other strings. So they becomes overly bright and brittle sound.

The JJB's matched with a nice amp, or even a nice preamp work great. I personally use them with an old Yamaha AG Stomp pedal. But straight into my Fishman loudbox they sound good too.
