I get that. There were three of us growing up, but our youngest brother died (cancer) five years ago Dec 24, and our parents both died this Sept, so my older sister and I have made an agreement: she’s trying to leave the snark at the door and I’m trying to be less annoying!

Yeah, but she's the one in charge, right?

My wife was the oldest child in a family with four kids, and one of her brothers still pisses and moans whenever she tries to get everyone to observe basic Covid-19 precautions.

Whaddya do, right? All my wife can do is try not to be there when he's planning to show up.

Dear Wade,
She'd be proud as punch to have had such a wonderful obit as yours.

Her name should have been Battle, but I digress.........

Thanks, Howard. Yes, she was a very driven person and built quite a legacy in her field. She and I are fairly similar in a lot of ways, and the depth and passion of my interest in stringed instruments is like her engagement in classical music in general, and opera in particular.

When something interests me, I learn all I can about it, and Bryan was the same way.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Thoughts to you and your family. That was a very nice tribute to your sister.

Default Your sister passing

Such a loss is always hard. Sounds like she lived life on her own terms and had people who loved her and that mourn at her passing. I wish the same for all of us. May peace be with you. Don

We’re doing okay, thank you. Our daughter has been the one whose life has had the greatest change from it.

Thanks for your interest.

Wayne, my sympathies to you and your family. Being a St. Louis native myself, I always enjoyed the diversity of her journalistic talents over the years. So much for you to be proud of...

Sorry to hear Wade. I am from St. Louis and I remember her articles about the SLSO as I knew people who were performers there.

Default My sister just died - Sarah Bryan Miller, Jan. 1952 to Nov. 2020

Hi Wade. I do not know you or your sister, I have conversed with you via posts occasionally and I want offer my condolences. She seemed lovely.

Given the season and recent loss of your sister, listen to Christmas Prayers by Neil Diamond. Whether you like Neil or not the lyrics are touching.

My best,
Nathan
