Except for posts in the classifieds where charter members can delete their own posts or close a thread, in all other sub forums, only a mod can delete a (duplicate) post, but only if s/he happens to see it.

Seriously, that constitutes a move.

Giving somebody an item that they'll likely use every day, especially engraved from you to her . . .

If you're certain, go ahead. If not, don't.

Not that you asked, but another one-of-a-kind guitar gift would be one of those extremely cool and beautiful straps made in Japan out of vintage Obi (the kimono sash) fabric. Isn't the small company called Singing Crane? I learned about it here one AGF and someone posted that even the packaging is beautiful.
Just a thought. There's a website.

You WILL let us know what happens, won’t you?? We’re rooting for you. Honestly, if she is not charmed by a good capo then find someone who is.

Certainly. But it'll be 6 weeks before I see her again so please be patient [emoji41]

No, actually, they don’t have every name under the sun: when I was a kid I wanted one of those plates desperately, but there weren’t any “Wade” plates for sale. My parents wouldn’t let my sister have one because I couldn’t, even though she had a much more common name and they had the plate.

Sorry, I just had to comment, given my tragic childhood….

OK - so stay away from the diamond capo for the time being.

To be honest, I had the same experience. That's probably why the image came to mind. Such early slights run deep!!!!!

I can sometimes find my name, but almost never my wife’s. There are always Allison and sometimes Alicia, but never Alice. The one time was at the Hoover Dam visitor’s center in NV. I think she uses it like a luggage tag on a flute case.

Haha! If the OP does that and it goes over well, and if a relationship blooms, down the road, then he can buy her a guitar...a 12 string.
