Default Taylor ES Expression System for recording?

Has anyone tried the new ES Expression System for recording direct? How is it in this application?

As always, all opinions welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
BK

The ES system is not intended to replace a good mic. It is not as good as a good mic. It is intended for great live playing.

Yes I've direct recorded it with a DAW based system and a hard-drive based standalone. SteveS is correct it is not as good as a GOOD studio mike, or set of them for the best guitar tone. It is very realistic and could be acceptable if the acoustic part is not featured in the mix. I believe it is good enough for the hobby recording player, and may be used in combination with mikes for professional recording.
It is good enough to fool my family's and friend's ears, but not mine.
