Does anyone play through a Yorkville?
I'm speaking of the acoustic amps. What are your thoughts?

I have an AM100.
Pros: Transparent Works nicely as an amp and PA (very small venue) Lots of effects (though I only use about 2) Seems really well made - rugged, yet pretty light weight Cons: A little bit hissy MG

I agree with all of the pros listed. Mine's not hissy, but it is boomy. I have an active I-beam in my guitar and I have to turn the bass channel down all of the way. |

Hey MG,
How small of a venue? I won't be playing anything with more than 30 people in a small room. How is the mic channel? Thanks, Nick

I use a Shure SM58 and a Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker through a Behringer Eurorack board. I keep the vocals pretty flat, but I cut a bit of the midrange on the guitar. I have played it lots of times without the board. It still works out OK. As for the term transparent - perhaps uncolored might be a better term. An acoustic guitar sounds more like an acoustic guitar through my Yorkville as compared to, for instance, a Fender Acoustasonic. I hope this helps.
