Default Balor Bass Review

I hope it's ok to post links to other forums. Here's my review for the bassist scene: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/rev...-bass.1353070/

More pics there if you want to see it. Happy to discuss here, though.

Well, it is a big instrument.

Looks good - I like the blue. Good looking cat, too.

OK, I give up! How do you change the strings or are those permanent?

She’s an awesome cat.

There’s a panel on the back you unscrew and then thread the strings through the body. There’s a pic on the bass thread.

I need to see emeralds blue in person some time! It seems very different from the images on their website. In reality pictures it appears much more subtle than on the website images.

My friend Joe recently received his Balor. He plays the electric Balor on Saturday nights with an electric band. One Sundays he plays the Balor with an acoustic group in the park.

Joe confirms the positive statements made in the reviews. It is an awesome instrument.

Hi All:

@GuitarDoc: by accident. I just pulled these out of my Apple Photos library, and uploaded them to Talkbass, which resizes them in posts but maintains the original size if you click on them. Acoustic Guitar forum needs a link--you can't upload them, so I linked to the photos on TB.

@GBG: yes, it seems the case with all their colours. The red is also that way.

As far as loudness and suitability to acoustic jams, I'll say this. It's loud for an acoustic bass guitar. It's not a double bass. But if I'd wanted a double bass, I'd have bought one.
