Very pretty. I would not have picked that as a Keb Mo song. So glad to hear you play songs with vocals. Wonderful recording and sound quality. Nice Job Mike.

I wouldn't have thought of Keb Mo either. Mike, you really made it "yours".
Great job.

Thanks Ranger and Dianne,
You are making me wonder whether it is Keb Mo! I don't know much about him but I got this song from my brother and I'm sure he said that's where it came from.
Cheers,
Mike

Well done, Mike! I love songs like this and others you have posted! There is something magical about a good story song when delivered with just one voice and one guitar. Maybe someday I will develop enough skill to try doing that myself!

Very different from the Keb Mo version, nothing wrong with making it your own.
I enjoyed it, thx.

Soon as I saw Keb Mo I had to check it out. When the song first started I was horrified I thought what did he do to that song.

BUT

As I listened to it further I found myself enjoying it more and more and thought he did a great job putting his own flavor into this song.

oh and BTW

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. When I worked this out it was from memory after having heard my brother sing it. I hadn't heard Keb's version or anything else by him at the time, so I wasn't trying to copy it. That's probably a good thing in the end.
Cheers,
Mike

I love blues but know little of Keb Mo, but this sounds very nice! Great playing and very nice singing, a perfect tune how you do it.

I've never heard the original Keb Mo version but this is a super rendition. Very John Denver.

Very nice!

Mike...listen to some Keb Mo ( Kevin Moore ) when you get the chance. He's great to watch and steal stuff from. A true player.
I'm telling you now , is on the album " Slowdown" just in case you wanted to hear how KM does it.
