What does the J stand for?

JOM = Jumbo OM, JOMT with T = thin(ner) body depth,
There also are JOM’s, but not as often it seems. Somewhat similar to a Martin 0000 or a similar offering from SCGC (OM Grand). Imo the Bourgeois JOM is an OM on steroids, quite close to a Dread, particularly without the T... but in a different (nicer ?) shape. Last edited by Lonzo; 08-06-2022 at 09:08 AM. |

Thanks Lonzo. I was thinking maybe Jumbo. Nice guitar!

Thanks and yes, JOM-T stands for Jumbo OM "Thin" which is the same body depth of a standard OM. If the guitar had Mahogany back and sides I would certainly be keeping it!

Would you describe the sound as being forward? Like how’s the volume? I’m realizing my J-200 is a big sound but not forward so looking for something a bit different.

I would describe the sound being very balanced but responds to playing dynamics a great deal. Once the guitar is strummed the volume can increase a great deal.
Here is a clip of what I am 99% sure is the actual guitar that I own and am not selling. This clip doesn't demonstrate it's dynamics and it has more oomph and a bit more brightness in person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfPv_wAgqmY |
