I love maple, full sounding single notes, focused, balanced, bunches of headroom, snappy, clear, pure sounding, one of my favorite tonewood

It's all about finding the sound that makes you happy and want to play, Congrats on the Maple. They do sound pretty.

What you have there are some FINE guitars, Bruce. What could possibly be the problem?

I've got a couple of maple beauties as well. It's funny -- if you asked me my favorite tonewood, I'd say mahogany, but half of my guitars are maple.

Very nice Bruce. I’ve always liked the way maple guitars look and sound but only ever owned 1: a Maton with Queensland maple back and sides, which I don’t have anymore. You’ve convinced me that I need more blondes.

I had Maton make me a 12-string version of their country jumbo with Queensland maple back and sides. Not a custom shop order, just a 12-string version of an existing model... a $600 up charge.
Beautiful fit and finish buy disappointing acoustically.
It sold easily because it looked so nice.

What beautiful guitars! Great shot, too! Many years ago when I started up playing acoustic again, I impulsively bought a maple dread cutaway by Fender. Ultimately it wasn't a great fit for me and I traded it in but it had a lovely brightness to it.

My bud Lee's Maple Taylor is awesome.
I wonder what Maple and Engelmann would sound like?

Brother, the only "problem" I see is that if the opportunity arises, I'm going to literally steal these beautiful instruments from you.

I'm not a natural thief or dishonest person, but I don't believe I have the moral fiber to resist those.

Bass was my main instrument for many years. I have always longed for a Ric.

And I played that identical model Epiphone a year or so ago in a pawn shop. They were asking $280 for it. I still kick myself for not snagging it even though I'm not a big jumbo/dread guy.

The one I played is now gone, destroyed by Hurricane Michael. I coud have saved it from that fate, but I didn't.

Seriously, those are beautiful, classic, lifetime instruments. I hope you enjoy the heck out of them and bring pleasure to listeners for one hundred years of a very long, happy, music-making life.

Personally, I am thrilled to seeing Maple finally gaining traction in the acoustic market. Screw CITES.
