Default Cow Bell?

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this query, but here goes: A song I just finished writing has a place in the chorus for a cowbell. I hear it in my head when I play it. The problem is, I’m a solo guy, so I’ve got no percussionist to help me out. Preamble finished, here’s the question: Does anyone know of a pedal or stomp box with a cow bell effect? I’ve seen a few on line, but am seeking some experience based input. I’m looking for something I can run through my mixer, so electronic I guess. Thanks!

Not easy or cheap, but this might be a start

I've seen guys use a cable operated pedal on cajon, similar idea here.

I had a cajokick for awhile. this thing sounds
great and had the best digital cowbell i ever
heard. not cheap but has multiple percussion
sounds that sound pretty real. mine broke
and i bought it cheap on ebay..

My first recommendation would be a cowbell attachment for kick drum pedals as Yamahaguy has already suggested.

Incidentally, I use a Roland TM-2 drum trigger module and a several very cheap, very basic drum pads for my cowbell and selection of random extra percussion sounds.

And, remember, there’s no song that can’t use more cowbell.

Check out Farmer Foot Drums. They have a Downbeat Pedal you can mount a cowbell to, or any number of percussion items.

apart from finding a cow with impeccable musical timing, the farmers foot thingys look a good idea. I'm sure one could be adapted for cowbell

and its a lot easier to bring to a gig than a cow, they take up a lot of room in the truck not to mention the unwelcome flatulence

Default Cow Bell?

All of these are good suggestions, and I appreciate them (well, except for the cow thing, that doesn’t seem workable). But, none of these will work the way I envision.

I currently use a Beat Buddy Mini, and I really like it, especially for practicing at home, early in the AM with headphones on. I was really looking for a pedal that has cow bell and is adjustable as to bpm so that I can set it for whatever speed I need, and touch the switch with my foot to engage and disengaged, much like the way any other pedal (delay, body Rez, etc.) works. I have a spare input on my little mixer I’d like to plug This into. There doesn’t seem to be one out there though so I may have to build one myself.

But - if anyone else knows of such a pedal, please chime in!
