Default Advice please: Recording from amp to H4n Pro

Recording newbie here, looking for advice.

I like to record arrangements of songs that are new to my playing mates (we do a monthly open mic and have a hard time getting together), just to give people an idea of the arrangement, placement of the solos, and tempo. Nothing fancy, just a quick and dirty recording.

I have a Zoom H4n Pro, and the three times I've used it, I plugged my guitar into CH 1 and vocal mic into CH 2, with headphones on to monitor it in real time. It served its purpose.

It just occurred to me that I have a direct line out on my Carvin AG300 amp (to go to an extension speaker or into a PA. Can I just run that into one of the channels on the H4n Pro and record that way?
