Default Comparison between jazz guitar and gypsy jazz guitar

I'm not finding any comparison videos between the two types of guitars. I have an Eastman 810 acoustic Jazz guitar. Was wondering how it would compare with a Gypsy Jazz style guitar.

You're in luck - DjangoBooks has your guitar in stock as well as every Gypsy guitar make you've ever heard of (and a few you haven't), with excellent demo vids of each that'll let you do your own A/B comparisons through a good set of headphones...

If you're anywhere near Seattle contact Michael Horowitz (Djangobooks.com). You can set up an appointment with him to try out several guitars.

Hoping Bruce Sexauer weighs in here - he’d be a good reference as he builds both flat tops and his flat-top ‘coostik harmonizers’ which are basically flat-top arch tops which draw from both flat top and arch top construction.

They are generally different animals. Sel-Mac guitars are loud, responsive, resonant, potentially percussive, and without great sustain. The 12 fret D hole models vary significantly from 14 fret petite bouche long scale models. You kind of have to try one......
