Recent video of Bruce Cockburn talking about his playing style, techniques and influences:

If you like his music, it is worth a watch.

His new album being released in Sept. is all new instrumentals - I'm stoked.

I'm a fan of Bruce. I like to play Pacing the Cage; seems to convey a lot of meaning into one's life.

One of the albums I play often is Speechless which was a compilation of cockburn's instrumentals. He is a very good guitarist and composer. I will definitely check out any new album consisting of more instrumentals by him...

Thanks so much for posting this!

I love this guy, such an awesome guitar player.

IIRC he's the only non-classical musician I've ever paid for to see live.

What a guitarist and songwriter! I credit Don Ross for my exposure to Bruce as Don is heavily influenced by him. Maybe I have been living under a rock as I have only known about him for a few years, but apparently he isn't super popular outside Canada. Better late to the party then never.

I've seen him about 6-7 times now in concert so I've been a big fan for most of my life. I've done tabs for a couple of his instrumentals now: Deer Dancing around a broken mirror (with the leads as played on circles in the stream album) and After the Rain. Let me know if you're interested and I could send them to you.

Thanks for this. I've seen Bruce many times and at various times I've done Foxglove, All The Diamonds, Lord of the Starfields, Closer to The light and Southland of The Heart.

You could test metronomes with Bruce's thumb
