Last Christmas I got the Rogue Guitar - Mandolin set from Musicians Friend. I have to say both of them play fine after a little work, tho I am getting ready to upgrade the guitar.

I went to the library and grabbed the book by Sam Bush called "Mandolin Repertory and Technic" and was playing some tunes in a few weeks. On my site there is a tune called "Musicians Friend" that I just tossed up there to show my sister that I was using the "new toys" LOL. It stinks, but hey, it's the first time I ever even touched a mando!

So I think it is very easy to learn.....

In the old days on the road, I found the mandolin much easier to play than guitar while driving my Volkswagen bus.
