Default Display cases

I'm interested in checking out some display cases to keep my guitars visible and easy to grab. I remember seeing a few at the Santa Barbara show in 2016, but can't seem to find much through Google now. I'd love to see your favorites to help get a sense of what's out there.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info on the company. This is a custom size, they make them standard for 2 or 4 or 6 guitars. It is humidity controlled with an electronic sensor and an alarm to tell you when it needs more water. I go through about 1 gallon of distilled water every 2 1/2 to 3 months in Tx.

I just through in some guitars for the pictures haha, one of those is carbon fiber and my daughters Uke haha

This is from a company called Access N Sight from Montana. It wasn't cheap, IIRC circa 4k. But it is outstanding quality, has a separate tray in the base for absorbant beads, has a sealed passthrough port for a led light and a tonerite. I also have a single unit that hangs on the wall from Guitar Humidor, that was around 3k. I would buy both again for sure, a wise investment when kids and dogs are involved. They are protected but easily accessible.

Tom, apropos of nothing, whats the guitar second from left? I recognize the Kinnairds by their headstocks but not that one.

Smile Hamblin?

Hey Matthew. I am guessing second from left is a Hamblin...

I saw this case up close at B.I.G. And it is really pretty, but the STASH is OUTSTANDING!!!! Hahaha. So is yours!

Getting a humidity controlled display cabinet was one of the best music related purchases I've made. Most of my instruments are out and ready to play and get played more as a result. I also appreciate not having to refill all those case humidifiers in the dry season.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Acoustic Remedy. I have one of their single guitar display cases (humidified just using humidipaks) but they also make larger cabinets that can use a combination of humidipaks and a built-in humidifier. They range in size from holding three guitars up to 7 or 8, and range in price from less than $4K to over $7K.

Matthew, the second from the left is a John Kinnaird. There is a Wilborn thrown in there also. I think I was just grabbing cases and putting guitars in there. It is completely different now, but that was the picture I had.

There is a very special guitar in the first place now if you will recall that one!

I second the recommendation of Acoustic Remedy. I bought this floor-standing models about 6 months ago:

https://www.acousticremedycases.com/...ctric-triangle

Not cheap, but excellent. And they have great customer service.

It’s holding the humidity very steady, notwithstanding that it’s been extremely hot and humid here for the past week. It also held the humidity very well over the dry winter. (In the winter, the case never quite got up to the precise humidity of the humidification packets, but got well within the recommended acoustic guitar humidity range and, once there, held steady all winter).

These cases look great and it tempts me to have a multi guitar case made down here in Australia.

Matthew, I’m interested in how well your humidity control works, as Florida has slightly higher humidity then where I live in Oz and we both sit above the mid 40s all year. The Access ‘n Sight website says they use one or two 40g canisters of silica gel to manage high humidity. Are you finding that this does the job?

Another Acoustic Remedy user. I have a floor standing unit for one guitar. Great workmanship, easy to maintain humidity levels.
These units begin at under 1k, and go up depending on wood choices.

Wow, that's a lotta case for one guitar! It's beautiful.
Is the door pane a piece of glass, or is than an acrylic (or some such)?
I'm needing to line a wall with display cases (in the shop) and am appreciating the pics guys, thanks.

I have one of these on order. It will hold up to 10 guitars but I'm having it slotted for 7 so that they can sit at an angle for better display. Can't wait to get into my guitar room. Darrell tells me I will have to add water approx every 6 weeks or so.

I'll add my recommendation for Acoustic Remedy display cases. I looked at other providers, but generally they are meant for multiple guitars (as in over 2).

As I only needed two, I chose the Walnut with the Boveda packs, LED lights, and hygrometer. Installed easily, and so far haven't required the packs as it has maintained between 40-50% RH.
