Awesome, I can't stand the nut width on mandos though, congrats to anyone who can get good at this instrument!

I was never 'good' on the mandolin but maybe that is why I can get along with a more narrow guitar nut.... hmmm never thought of that.

Mark is well known for his prowess on violin. He does play a mean mandolin apparently.

He was great on both mandolin and guitar, but I believe I recall hearing quite a few years ago that he'd been advised to quit playing both of them because of repetitive motion stress.

Interesting thought! I started on mandolin, and have never been bothered by narrow nut-width/necks on guitars. Maybe!

Wow this is some amazing playing. Be careful with the e strings. Those snap easily.
