Thumbs up

It’s pretty amazing the total financial commitment that AGFers have made to the luthier community. It’s a great synergy. Thanks for starting the thread.

Great thread.

My boyfriend and I are expecting guitars from Ervin Somogyi and Jeff Traugott this year.

With a bit of luck, our spot on Kim Walker’s list will be up as well.

Well not sure if mine counts, I have the (completed) build thread here:

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=581765

and the photographs of the finished guitar here:

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=602418

But I will definitely only see this John Kinnaird beauty in its flesh in 2021!

I'd wish you a happy new year, but it sounds like you've got that under control!!

I have a build thread ongoing in this forum with luthier Mark Blanchard right now.

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=596397

Mark is building me a custom version of his Bristlecone model with an Italian Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.

I also have commissioned a custom version of a Model K Deluxe after discussions with Michael Millard of Froggy Bottom Guitars. He recommended body depth adjustments, an old German Spruce top and a Koa back and sides. This guitar should arrive next summer.

I ended up going with Pisgah. I liked that all their woods are locally sourced and I just enjoyed talking with them about the product and options etc.

Hard to believe, but I am expecting three guitars in 2021:

-a small jumbo multi-scale baritone built by Russel Crosby in Nova Scotia
-a 000 multi-scale baritone built by Bruce Brockman in Tuscon, Arizona
-a 12 fret Tamar built by Brook Guitars in Devon, England

Taking delivery of instruments from Taran Guitars (Rory Dowling), Mark Beneteau, Ryan Gerber, and Michael Greenfield this year. I’d love to sneak in a Sexauer later this year as well (Bruce, if you’ll have me )

Looking forward to sharing these experiences with everyone here!

Technically they are my boyfriend's guitars! But I'm allowed to play them!

I'm a ballet teacher and could never afford such fancy instruments.
