The cheap knock-offs of the Dunlop trigger capo on eBay are pretty good for about $3-5.

If you're willing to spend about $22-23, I'd suggest a Shubb or Paige. I have both, and I prefer the Paige.

I got Amazon Basics two for $8.00 and they are great, if anything they might be a tad to strong

I'm pretty sure those are the same ones. I keep a couple around for when I'm playing at home since they are quick and easy.

Paige.

Better than some of the super expensive ones I’ve wasted money on.

My favorite capos, in order of preference:

1. G7th Heritage, $150
2. Paige, $23
3. Shubb, standard model, $22
4. Dunlop trigger capo knock-off, $3-5
5. Kyser quick change capo, $20

A good ole cheap Schubb. You can’t go wrong.

I was waiting on this. Almost two pages before someone mentions Paige.
Shubb is great at home but easily mislaid.
Works just as well as that 130 dollar capo

I will say that Shubbs last forever. I've had mine since the sixties or seventies. I did have to replace the pad once, however. It will likely last longer than my Paige, but I still prefer cradle-style capos.

For cheap, my first choice is a regular Paige capo. Another good choice is the D'Addario NS capo with the wheel to tighten it up.
