Steve, thanks for all your input here.

Do you have any photos of a fully “buffed to semi-gloss” Taylor satin finish before/after to understand this difference?

My guitar is currently “velveteen,” but equally I don’t know if I should just leave it or try to get a uniform look.

I’m scared of messing it up and going through the finish. Is there any risk of that? It is a 2015 322e.

No, as I do not recommend the buffing a satin finish option
