Default Joni

Joni Mitchell's "Night Ride Home," especially after mr. beaumont did it in the S&T section a couple days ago. I was in flight training in Dallas, TX, years ago the first time I ever heard this tune. A local radio station played it and I loved it. I thought it was her best post-stardom album.

Hogjaw. They appeared on my southern rock YouTube playlist last week and they're great. I had never heard of them before.

Last night probably 20 different versions of Towns "To Live is to Fly" after listening to the cowboy Junkies cover on the way home. A number by Towns, a couple live versions by CJ, live and studio covers by Steve Earl and Guy Clark, nice fingerpicked version by Peter Rowen live both solo and a live version with Tony Rice, Jeff Bridges, Emmylou Harris, and a bunch of people who I've never heard of.

This morning, checking out my new Beats with Charlie Haden's album, Nocturne... lovely music that sounded great with those earbuds... really cool to be able to walk around, away from my phone, without worrying about cords; these earbuds have a pretty good range with the Bluetooth connection - 25 - 30 feet, easily.

Due to hearing a cover of Wicked Game, I put on Chris Isaak's greatest hits while cleaning up last night. Dang.

Today I'm listening to Roy Orbison because of Chris Isaak's vocals.

I love all the aforementioned; you must all be from the same generation as me.

Recently rediscovered an oldie I have not listened to in decades. Morrison Hotel by the Doors. Seriously, I can't believe how good this sounds. This was recorded in 1969 and was their first studio album.
