I don't deserve such a beautiful work of art anyway....it should go to a real player!

.I am working on the necks at this time and will be posting some new pictures soon.
I took the day out since it was so nice, temperature wise, to get caught up on some other work that has been screaming at me. The finger board will be striped Macassar ebony on this guitar and also the Mahogany SJ. Im thinking that there will be no fret board markers, except on the side of the finger board, comments on this are welcome. Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone, I appreciate it very much |

I know that most of these pictures I used for the SJ but since the OOO and the SJ are being built together here they are again. To start off, Here are some starting pictures of the necks. This is a shot of the wood needed for the next few necks, a Small Consort and what I call a K45 "slope D" are part of this batch.
This is of the necks first gluing. After some machining. Head stock wings or extensions glued on. Finger boards to be slotted Finger board to be used on the OOO. More pictures soon. |

Moving on, here are some shots of the neck as it comes together.
Sorry for the lighting on this one, it's a bit dark but you can see what is going on. I just finished leveling down the back of the neck. This is where both guitar necks share the bench and the peg head overlay's get glued on. Finger board just slotted. Back of the neck now ready to carve. The head-stock shaped. The binding glued on the sides of the fingerboard. More pictures soon. |

Very nice, Dennis!
Question--is that your standard neck? As in, every guitar gets this beauty? Steve |

Yup! I do the same for every neck. I have only had one request to not do this and to make it a solid Mahogany. |
