I've had great experiences with the EB ABs. I've had them on Sitka, Mahogany, and Cedar tops. The first and only time that I had a bad experience was with a particularly finicky guitar (Rosewood/Adi), so they had to come off.

Currently, I have them on a Sapele/Sitka guitar now, and that guitar sounds great!

Got these delivered yesterday and immediately put some on my DN8. My first thought was holy crap at the brightness but I’ve learned from other strings to let them settle in. I’ve gotten several hours of play time and absolutely love these so far. This is the best my Taylor has ever sounded. I’ll have to see how these do longevity wise.

I thought these were like Nickel Bronze or Monels, so I was surprised to see they were bronze colored. They seem to combine the positive features of PB’s and 80/20’s. Very powerful bass and nice trebles. These strings have a lot of volume. Now I gotta try a pair on my Gibsons and GS Mini.

Thanks for the suggestion TNfiddler!

Wow! They're $12.00 (Cdn) on the rack at one of the local music shops. Got 'em for $10 on a promo. Haven't put 'em on yet, but I like to read other opinions. Gives me an idea what I might expect and maybe what to 'look' for.

They sound really good, but they're very fragile and can't handle a heavy hand

I’m a grasser and can really dig into a guitar and I’ve not had that experience.

When you first put them on, get ready! They’re gonna be all in your face volume and bright-wise. Then they’ll settle in and bring out bass and clarity you didn’t know your guitar had! My favorite string I’ve tried yet. I bought 5 more sets on cyber Monday, so I’m throwing them on my Koa GS next!

Yep, that is a fact Jack!
On another thread, I posted, I have just put them on my J45. They were zingier, brassier and brighter than 80-20's but have begun to settle in after a few hours of playing. They are still just a bit bright but I have a hunch they are going to continue to mellow out and they are already beginning to sound good.

I just bought my first set of these and my all-mahogany D-17 really loves them, drawing out tonalities I'm pretty sure I've never heard before in over 15 years of ownership.

You do hear a lot of string though, compared to, say, a set of nickel or monels. (This is after a good ten hours of playing time). I'm still seeking the holy grail of projection, articulation, and transparency, but in the meanwhile I really can't complain. They're a really good match.

I put them on my Koa Gs Mini a few weeks back and they turned this one into a totally different guitar. They’ll be permanent strings for that one. I have a set to try on my adi/hog Bourgeois and wonder how they’ll sound on it.

I’m going to be the voice of dissent here. I wanted to like these strings and as a result have tried them on all my guitars and on several different occasions have tried them more than once. The results have been nothing if not consistent - I like the volume but find the tonality to be harsh and jangly with no warmth or depth of tone regardless of how long I leave them on.
