That's precisely why all my custom steel strings (all three in my signature) are 1 13/16 and 2 5/16

The Cervantes as well as the Kenny Hill guitars are great too.

For my personal interest, I just couldn't see enough difference in quality & sound between those guitar & Cordoba to justify the price difference.

Besides, Kenny Hill designed most of the Cordoba models From what I've been told. The Kenny Hill guitars are built in the same factory in China as the Cordoba's.

A Yamaha NTX 1200R falls just under your budget. Great crossover, as long as you plug into an amp. Find a keyboard amp, add reverb and you're set!
I play easy listening, blues, classical, it does very well.
