1953 Gibson L-7
Up for sale is a wonderful 1953 Gibson L-7 in excellent condition. The guitar and finish are in incredible shape, and it plays effortlessly across the board with one of the best necks I’ve played with frets in excellent original shape. As for wear, there is a small binding repair on a small section of the back, checking on the back seam in a small section, small finish wear under the tailpiece, two very small holes on the fretboard extension from a previous pickup, and no end pin. Otherwise, pretty light wear throughout. The tuners are replacements, and I’m guessing the tailpiece is as well due to the gold finish (though it looks period correct). The guitar sounds terrific and the setup is dialed in. While I’m happy keeping it, I’m looking to scale down and am gravitating toward more player grade instruments. The guitar ships in a heavy duty Reunion Blues gig bag. Asking price is $3,500 or best offer plus shipping. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
