Keef has been pretty emphatic on this topic, asserting that the Hummingbirds were good UNTIL they became more heavily built. I don't know when this happened but you might want to look into this if you really want that sound. My first "good" guitar was a late 60's Hummingbird (made presumably after Gibson beefed up the build) and I never cared for it, much.

These two are quite literally in my sights (about 8ft away from me). They're new Madi/Adi thermocured dread and OM. I'm happy with both, but they're different than any other guitars I've owned.

It doesn't have a name yet, but it is going to be a dread or jumbo, maple or walnut body with spruce or cedar top, and 1 3/4 at the nut

I am considering getting a Martin D18. Just not sure I can justify it since I have an Alvarez MD60BG.
