Default SOLD 2018 Lowden F50 Mastergrade sinker redwood African Blackwood

Like new 2018 Lowden F-50 with African Blackwood body (back, sides) and a Redwood top. My loss is going to be someone’s gain as it was about $10,000 out the door(list was higher). Look at the picture’s, fantastic combo of woods and the tone and playability match the great wood combo. George always said his 50 model series use the best woods and are the very best guitars Lowden can make. I have copied some of the original pictures from the listing and also added a few of my own.

It has great separation of notes, a rich, warm sound, lots of overtones and is incredibly comfortable to play. It’s a great fingerstyle guitar but it can also handle strumming. Wonderful in alternate tunings as well. It just has that “it” factor. The craftsmanship is impeccable and it’s in like new condition.

Specs:
Master grade sinker redwood top
Master grade African Blackwood top
Ebony binding, headstock and fingerboard
Soundbox bevel
Abalone rosette
Koa back strip
Rosewood Bridge
Scale: 25&5/8
Nut width: 1 ¾
Fretboard: Ebony
Mahogany neck

The guitar comes with the original Lowden case.

Selling for $8750 plus shipping plus any fees
Not looking for any trades.
Bob

Beautiful! I'm so very happy this is not an S-50 because those are my preferred tonewood combinations. GLWS!

Your retirement savings dodged a bullet on this one, Scott! Every time I see a Lowden in this tonewood combo posted, I think of you. Hope you are well.

Lol - yes, and every time I see ANY Lowden I think of the one I played at your place! I am well. I keep coming back to this ad and thinking the F-50 isn't THAT much bigger than the S-50...

Love the sinker redwood top on this guitar and the figuring of the African blackwood back is really beautiful too. I also like the ebony(?) arm bevel. They are usually a lighter, contrasting color but the dark color combined with the dark binding gives the guitar a very understated but sophisticated look.

This is a great price for a new F50 in those tone woods. Most of the sinker redwood/African blackwood X50 guitars with bevels are up in the $11.5 to $12k range new.

Worth every penny of it. What a gem and from experience I can say it plays as awesome as it looks here. There is just something about Lowden guitars that is being discovered now and its not only the woods and appearance, its the tone and varieties of tone the player can get from this one.

That price is a STEAL, Bob! If I didn't already own an F50 with those tonewoods, I'd be writing a check immediately!
